ISO14001 is the best known environmental standard but there are a whole range of standards in the ISO14000 series. There are also other standards outside of the 1400 series which have environmental criteria. This is a list of some of the more important environmental standards.

- ISO 14069 - guidance for carbon footprints of products, services and supply chain
- ISO 16745 - Sustainability in buildings and civil engineering works – Carbon metric of an existing building during use stage, Parts 1 (calculation & reporting) and 2 (verification)
- ISO 14080, Greenhouse gas management and related activities – Framework and principles for methodologies on climate actions
- The GHG Protocol standards for corporate accounting, projects, product life cycle accounting, corporate value chain (Scope 3) accounting and cities, which are not quite standards, but a useful guidance
